The project is located on Lot 15 Old Dock subdivision in Onslow County. The property is approximately 4 acres. In order to construct a home, a small wetland crossing will be needed to cross a small portion of the wetlands; therefore a Nationwide Permit 29 is being sought. The proposed project consists of construction of a driveway to access the homesite. The wetland drain on this property extends the entire width of the property making this minimal impact necessary to construct the home. The impact is expected to be approximately 0.006 acres. This wetland impact has been minimized by impacting only what is necessary for construction of the driveway. Furthermore, the driveway is proposed to be stabilized using retaining walls to minimize the footprint. If you have any questions or require any additional information, please feel free to contact me at (910) 270-2919.
