Typical Cross Section Description: Along Knox Road, -Y1A- Ste. 10+26.04 to Sta. 39+00.00, right of the centedine, there is a 0-11' left turn lane, followed by another I V lane, a 0-11' right tum lane, a 0-5' bike lane, a O-6' berm and a 5' sidewalk. Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): Design/Future: 5600 Year: 2040 Existing: 4800 Year: 202D General Project Narrative: (Description of Minimization of Water Quality Impacts) This is an intersection and surrounding area improvement project located at the intersection of Torrence Chapel Road and West Catawba Avenue. There is one site along the project where temporary and permanent surface water impacts will occur. These impacts will occur at a headwall installation and a proposed ditch entering a jurisdictional stream. Rip rap will be installed along the ditch line to lower water velocity into the jurisdictional stream. NCDOT will attempt to avoid and minimize impacts to streams to the greatest extent practicable during project design.
