SUBJECT: Proposed Silas Creek Crossing Shopping Center
Winston-Salem, NC
Dear Bill:
As discussed in our phone conversation last week, we are required to obtain
a Nationwide Permit 26 from the Army Corps of Engineers. This permit will
allow fill activity on the approximate 1.6 acres of Burke Creek wetlands
affected by the subject project.
The Corps requires that we obtain a Section 401 Water Quality Certification
from the State of North Carolina prior.to approval of a Nationwide Permit.
We request that the proposed fill activity be encompassed by a general water
quality certification.
I have enclosed a blueprint of the grading plan. Thank you for your
