Upon review of your request for Water Quality
Certification to place fill material in a tributary to Swan
Run Branch, we have determined that the proposed fill can be
covered by General Water Quality Certification No. 2176
issued November 4, 1987. A copy of the General
Certification is attached. This Certification may be used
in qualifying for coverage under Corps of Engineers'
Nationwide Permit No. 26.

Subject: Verification of General Water Quality
Certification requirements
Dear Mr. Mills:
The City of Charlotte has retained Frank Coleman and Associates
to prepare engineering design for the replacement of the bridge
on Gorham Drive in Charlotte. The bridge is situated on the
upper end of a 5.5 acre private lake located on an unnamed
tributary of Swan Run Branch, which feeds McAlpine Creek (see
attached map).
This tributary is above the headwaters of McAlpine Creek. As
our plans include less than one acre of fill, we desire
verification that this project qualifies for the General Water
Quality Certification.

this matter.
