Flow Reduction Approval

On January 3, 2001, the Division of Water Quality received your flow reduction request for new
single-family dwellings in the Town of Clayton. The letter requests approval of a residential flow value of 250
GPD/residence for any future dwellings that may become tributary to the subject wastewater collection system.
The Division also received additional information on April 3, 2001
The information provided flow records between January 1998 and November 2000 for the W WTP.
The evaluation also included the daily wastewater flows for a 33 day period from February 19 through March
23, 2001 for a select 97 homes in accordance with 15A NCAC 2H .0219(I)(3).
Based upon the information submitted, the Division hereby approves the use of 250 GPD per single-
family residence in all applicable non -discharge permit applications for future sewer line extensions for the
Town of Clayton. This consideration applies to any applicable future projects submitted to the Division as well
as any projects which are currently under review. Reyardles,. of the atdiusled dcciert daily ►vmstiwatcr flow rate,

Erin,
Attached is a new cover letter and previously submitted information. Please let me know if this addresses your
comments.
We do not have any high priority lines. I believe the "No" box was checked on the application. We have streams onsite
but nothing we are proposing crosses them.

Subject: Walk at East Village -Phase 2 Fast Track Sewer extension application
Good Afternoon,
I am in the process of reviewing the subject application and require additional information.
-Per the general instructions, a cover letter is required. Please submit a cover letter with the system type, number of
homes served, flow allocation required etc. If necessary for clarity, include attachments.
-Please verify that there are no high priority lines("any aerial sewer, sewer contacting surface waters, siphons or sewer
positioned parallel to stream banks") as there appear to be streams in the project area. Once this information is
received, I can move forward with drafting this permit. Thank you.
