Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov Good Morning Steve and Mac, I am reaching out to notify you that we are preparing to submit our sediment and erosion control permit application to Yadkin County for the dam breaches at the Twiman Site. These are both non-regulated dams and we will not be placing fill in any of the wetlands on site. We are assuming no formal notification or 404/401 permitting is required for this activity. The S&EC permit is for the dam breaches only, as the mitigation plan and associated PCN are currently in review with the IRT. Once a final mitigation plan is approved we will move forward with the normal progression of S&EC permitting related to the stream restoration. I've attached the dam breach plans for your reference. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss further. No reply is necessary unless there is a concern with this approach. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL THE PUMP AROUND PUMP AND THE TEMPORARY PIPING THAT WILL CONVEY THE BASE FLOW FROM UPSTREAM OF THE WORK AREA TO THE STABILIZED OUTFALL. 3. INSTALL UPSTREAM IMPERVIOUS DIKE AND BEGIN PUMPING OPERATIONS FOR STREAM DIVERSION. STABILIZED OUTFALL CLASS 4. INSTALL THE DOWNSTREAM IMPERVIOUS DIKE AND DEWATERING A STONE PUMPING APPARATUS IF NEEDED TO DEWATER THE ENTRAPPED AREA. THE PUMP AND HOSE FOR THIS PURPOSE SHALL BE OF SUFFICIENT SIZE TO DEWATER THE WORK AREA. THIS WATER WILL ALSO BE PUMPED TO AN OUTFALL STABILIZED WITH CLASS A RIP RAP. 5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL EXCAVATE ANY ACCUMULATED SILT AND DEWATER BEFORE REMOVAL OF THE IMPERVIOUS DIKE. WHEN DEWATERING AREA, ALL DIRTY WATER MUST BE PUMPED THROUGH A SILT BAG. REMOVE IMPERVIOUS DIKES, PUMPS, AND TEMPORARY FLEXIBLE HOSE/PIPING STARTING WITH THE DOWNSTREAM DIKE FIRST. 6.
