Notes, Sketch, Action Items, etc.:
Invasives - Knotweed, kudzu, bamboo, privet, honeysuckle, multiflora,
Existing channel highly incised, over wide - lateral instability, lack of buffer, rubble right side "armor",
pasture converted to crop in last year, soil samples better down slope from crop edge - nonhydric to some redox, recommend
well in stream side zone - levee next to proposed riparian wetland, tile drains question?
existing channel large sediment deposits, gets flashy flow, some cobble & rock can be mined for new channel, sewer stream
crossing stabilized rock/slabs,
oak hill creek - eroding outer bends, over wide, large sediment deposits,
E2 proposed - spot bank grading & brush toe, invasive treatment, supplemental planting,
Wetland 3 - baseline gauges needed to show hydrology uplift, redox 6-10",
UT1- significant incision, ok bedform pockets, invasives- privet & walnut,
Wetland 2 - soil bright, indicators not present in 10", propose excavation 6" or more, question re-establishment vs creation (still
restoration but different ratio), channel relocation & hillside seep adjacent,
UT1- section not bad incision, good bedform & width, then gets worse again - ok restoration approach
UT113 - JD linear wetland or intermittent stream
UT1A - cattle in channel, devoid of buffer, significant impacts, bamboo,
UT1 top - perched culvert, priority 1, kudzu
Wrap-up focus on wetland - current non -hydric within 10-12" then creation credit
