Regarding the bridge replacement Carteret 33, The NCDOT is requesting a permit modification to allow for
the relocation of an existing fiber line owned by Conterra which currently hangs on the existing bridge that
will be demolished in the next couple months. Conterra is proposing to perform a 2,150 foot bore at 30'
below the North River mudline as shown in their submitted plans (attached). Bore pits will be contained by
silt fence to prevent silt loss.
Please find attached the revised plans. VMS number for this project is 38496.3.FR1. Should you have
