Thanks for the information sent on June 7, 2019. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The submitted sheets S -3a
and S -3b provide little detail about the layout of the ADA ramp. For example, why does the ramp have to parallel the
shoreline? Can it be built with a more direct route to the dock? Why is a seawall needed for a ramp? Please provide
elevations and a narrative that justify the use. This could potentially eliminate 108' of shoreline impact.
Regarding the swim zone and kayak launch area. Can these uses be combined into one area in order to eliminate
shoreline impact? In other words, redesign it so that the protected swim zone is also used as a kayak launch
area. Please provide more detail on why these impacts cannot be practically accomplished, reduced or reconfigured to
avoid impacts to the lake. [15A NCAC 02H .0506(f)&(g)]
Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 02H .0502 (c), the applicant shall furnish all of the above requested information for the
proper consideration of the application. If all of the requested information is not received within 30 calendar days, of
receipt of this email, the Division will be unable to approve the application and it will be returned. The return of this
project will necessitate reapplication to the Division for approval, including a complete application package and the
appropriate fee.

project at Lockhart Residence, Cardinal Drive, Lake Toxaway, NC.
Please note that the impacts have been reduced to the minimum required for ADA accessibility. See attached Sheets S -
3a and S -3b. The dimensional layout is shown on Sheet S -3b.
The attached drawing sheets should be printed on standard 8-1/2"x11" paper.
