Lee County
On July 25, 019, Erin Deck and Zach Thomas of this office conducted the subject
inspection. The collection system is deemed permitted through 15A NCAC 02T .0403. The
assistance of yourself and Mr. Craig Buchanan, ORC, was appreciated during the inspection.
Findings during the inspection are as follows:
1. A review of Records indicated the following
a. An operation and maintenance plan was not available for review. Per 15A
NCAC 02T.0403(3) an operation and maintenance plan including pump
station inspection frequency, preventative maintenance schedule, spare parts
inventory, and overflow response shall have been developed and
implemented.
b. There is one high priority line for the system. No documentation of the high
priority line inspections was available at the time of the inspection. Per 15A
NCAC 02T.0403 (5), the lines must be inspected at least once every six -
months and inspections documented.
c. No documentation was found that a general observation of the entire system
was conducted in the past year, which is required by 15A NCAC 02T.0403(6).
d. Grease Control Program: An ordinance pertaining to the Grease control
program has been developed and adopted by the Town. Grease trap
inspections are not occurring and being documented as required per 15A
NCAC 02T.403(a)(8) (A).

2. There are four pump stations in the collection system; none are equipped with
telemetry and are inspected daily. The pump station visitation log book was not
available for review the day of the inspection. At the time of the inspection, the
audible and visual alarms were working at all of the pump stations. All pump stations
have a generator at the station with a manual transfer switch.
Required Response:

letter.

Inspection Summary:
1. A review of Records indicated the following
