Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov<maiIto: report.spam@nc.gov> Aloha Dave: Pursuant to Special Condition 4 of the subject Section 404 Individual Permit and the Workplan Verification (attached), the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority (PTAA, permittee) has verified that the construction plans for this phase of the project comply with the permit drawings. Per my voice message yesterday, PTAA is planning a Pre -Construction Meeting for Thursday August 8 at 11:00 AM at the Airport (GSO). It is hoped that the first part of this meeting would constitute the onsite pre -construction meeting required by Special Condition 5 of the subject Permit. Attached is a draft agenda for this portion of the meeting - items specific for review with contractor personnel are highlighted. If you are unable to attend this meeting, a Michael Baker individual familiar with Section 404 regulations and permitting will lead the permit compliance discussion. If the Pre -Construction Meeting is successful, dewatering of the four jurisdictional Golf Course Ponds is planned to commence the following day, August 9, 2019. Draining the ponds will involve minimal disturbance through a series of siphon pumps to draw the water down as low as possible at a moderate rate. Clean pond water would be transferred from pond to pond and eventually to the current outlet structure. When the water elevation has sufficiently lowered, the existing standpipes would be cut to prevent rainfall from re -filling the ponds. Once the siphons have drained all they are capable of, then pumps and filter bags will be used to remove the remaining water. Construction is scheduled to commence approximately two weeks after the pre -construction meeting. Pursuant to Special Condition 9 of the subject Permit, PTAA is hereby notifying the Corps of proposed beginning of the authorized work. Pursuant to Special Condition 12 of the subject Permit, PTAA require contractors and agents to comply with the terms and conditions of this permit. PTAA have provided contractors associated with the construction or maintenance of this project with a copy of this Permit which is also available at the project job site. Please contact me or Matt Wright with questions or comments regarding PTAA compliance with the subject permit and to let us know whether you will be attending the pre -construction meeting on the 8th. Thanks again for your continued assistance.
