McGee, Mayor Town of Severn PO Box 401 Severn, NC 27877-0401 Subject: Compliance Evaluation Inspection Severn Collection System T15A NCAC 02T .0403 — PERMITTING BY REGULATION Deemed Collection System Permit WQCSDO100 Northampton County Dear Mayor McGee: On July 11, 2019, Vanessa Manuel from the Raleigh Regional Office conducted an inspection of the town's wastewater collection system to evaluate compliance with the operation and maintenance of the subject permit. The cooperation and assistance of Marshall Lassiter and Joseph Troy HolIoman during the inspection were greatly appreciated. During the inspection, the town's collection system operators indicated the wastewater collection system consists of approximately 1 mile of force main, l duplex pump station, and 4 high priority sewer lines. The operators were not sure about the approximate length of the gravity sewer line. Within 30-days of receiving this letter, please update this office with the length of gravity sewer line in the town's collection system. The subject permit is deemed permitted by regulation (T15A NCAC 02T .0403) and is subject to specific criteria in this Rule. The overall conditions of the pump station and high priority lines inspected were compliant with the subject Rule. North Carolina Administrative Code Title 15A Subchapter 02T Section .0403 requires collection system owners to maintain records documenting compliance with subparagraphs (a)(I) through (a)(9) of the Rule for three years, except for the collection system map, which shall be maintained for the life of the system. Please ensure all required actions and records are documented and maintained as required by TISA NCAC 02T. 0403. We appreciate the Town's efforts to maintain a compliant sewer collection system program. Please refer to the attached inspection report for full inspection details.
