D. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
la. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project.
The driveway is designed at the minimum 10 foot width requirement. The driveway is designed with 2 feet of fill to minimize
side slopes on the driveway and avoid further impacts.
1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques.
The driveway is being constructed at the minimum required width of 10 feet and 2 feet of fill reduces the side slope impacts.
An 18 inch culvert will be installed to provide connectivity to the adjacent wetlands. Construction of a bridge was evaluated
but the cost to support emergency vehicles is not economically feasible.
