The NPDES staff has reviewed your request for a modification of the subject permit due
to the closure of the 5 former stormwater outfalls at the Mayo Steam Electric Generating Plant.
Accordingly, we are forwarding herewith this modification to the subject permit.
Please find enclosed the amended NPDES permit. The effluent pages which addressed
the former stormwater outfalls have been removed. No other changes have been made. This
permit is issued pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina General Statute 143-215.1 and
the Memorandum of Agreement between North Carolina and the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency.
Please take notice that this permit is not transferable. Part II, E.4. addresses the
requirements to be followed in case of change in ownership or control of this discharge.
