I had high hopes this month because on 5/1 we had a BOD of 18.9 then a 20.9 then 17.4. All meet weekly limits but last week we got a 32.1. Really had hoped seeding the plant from Cooleemee was going to get us the boost we needed. Bugs still look prevalent and active. This week I've pulled some CODS from what we talked about last week during the inspection. One from the pipe where both clarifiers merge together before entering the contact chamber and at same time one from the effluent. Then I bypassed the contact chamber and grabbed another COD sample from the effluent. We don't have our COD tester yet so sent these to the lab. In one more week school will be out for the summer which will be very interesting if this makes a difference. They were out the last week of May and I can't help but feel this is why we had lower numbers for the 3 weeks after. We're finally getting the digester land applied today so will be back to wasting normally and hoping this will help our situation also. Thank you, Paul Land 1
