SUBJECT: Start of Study Letter for the proposed roadway widening of NC 210(Murchison
Road)from 1-295(Fayetteville Outer Loop)to south of US 401 Bypass in
Fayetteville,Cumberland County,North Carolina,TIP No.U-4900
NCDOT Division 6 has begun studying the proposed improvements to the subject project.The-
project is included in the North Carolina Department of Transportation's 2018-2027 State
Transportation Improvement Program and is scheduled for right of way in fiscal year 2022 and
construction in fiscal year 2024.
We would appreciate any information you might have that would be helpful in evaluating
potential environmental impacts of the project. If applicable,please identify any permits or
approvals which may be required by your agency. Currently,the project is federally funded and a
Federal Categorical Exclusion(CE)Type III will be prepared for this project.Your comments
will be used in the preparation of this document. It is desirable that your agency respond by
November 13,2018 so that your comments can be used in the preparation of this document.
