Plan
1. 4" Godwin Double Diaphragm Diesel Pump 100-750 GPM pumping capacity.
This pump will be on the upstream side of the ditch on the non -construction side
of the sheet steel with the discharge side being on the downstream side of the
second sheet of sheet steel. As per NCDENR coversation there will not need to
be a silt bag on this pump because it will be pumping undisturbed water from
construction. The pump will be running only when needed and will be checked
out and setup before start of construction.
2. For dewatering purposes of open excavation, we will use a small electric or gas -
powered pump with the intake encased stone and the discharged side going into
a silt bag per detail 1630.06 to dewater as necessary for the installation of the
42" RCP
3. For blocking off the stream flow of the jurisdiction stream we will use sheet steel
on both the upstream and downstream side to minimize disturbance and contain
silt.
4. After the pipe is installed and backfilled and compacted we will install Rip Rap at
the end of the pipe then removed the sheet steel to open back up the
jurisdictional stream.
