PROJECT SUMMARY: Applicant proposes to install 14 mooring pilings along their existing dockage area. Atchie Hooper Bio Report Page Two SITE DESCRIPTION The applicant property is located near the tip of Camden County in a developed section of Camden Point Shores. The site currently serves as a marina and commercial crab/fishing facility which includes dockage, a boat ramp, crab shedding facilities and several auxiliary buildings. Currently, commercial fishermen dock at the facility and load and unload their boats. The applicant proposes to place 14 mooring pilings along their existing dock, approximately 20 feet waterward from the existing bulkhead. This proposed development would allow the boats currently mooring to the dock to better moor their boats. ANTICIPATED IMPACTS The existing facility provides temporary and full time mooring for several vessels. The proposed pilings would provide better mooring for the existing usage and would not provide mooring for additional vessels. The proposed pilings would not interfere with PTW access.
