Good morning Shane,
My name is Matthew and I am Josh's co-worker and was working with him on this project. I apologize about
not getting back with you sooner but wanted to address your questions.
1) The goal at the site will be not discharge any water from the pond, however, carbon dioxide or a similar
mildly acidic buffer will be added to reduce the pH levels.
2) The Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan created for the site has pond control measures and management
practices for maintenance if necessary, however, this is a temporary plant and the life of the pond should remain
fairly short.
Please let me know if you have any more questions, thank you very much for your time.

Josh,
While I was reviewing NOI# NCG140471 for Charlotte Concrete Batch Plant, I came across some que
about your treatment of the truck wash out water.
1.) Looks to me that all water (storm and wash out) will be funneled into a sediment pond. How do yo
ph limit for your discharge?
1
2.) I'm concerned with how the sediment pond in your drawing will hold up over the life of a concrete
plant?
Feel free to call (919) 707-3647, or email me.
Thanks,
Shane Strickland
