Subject:
Long Lake Subdivision
DWO Project No. 011549
Wake County
Dear Mr. Canfield:
The Wetlands Unit staff reviewed the stormwater management plans for the subject project and determined that additional
information is necessary to complete the technical review process. The required additional information is as follows:
Long Lake
Please fill out the attached worksheet regarding Long Lake. Also, please provide the amount of proposed onsite
impervious surface that will not drain to Long Lake and the amount of offsite impervious surface that will drain to
Long Lake.
2. Forebays etc.
It is the understanding of this Office that you intend to utilize the existing buffers and/or forested filter strips in lieu of
providing forebays at all of the stormwater inlets into the lake. Please provide design calculations (including outlet
velocities) and plan detail for each of these inlets as well as for the outlets below the lake. Please note that
additional written approval will be required from this Office to use the alternatives that require bypasses through the
buffer.
3. Operation and Maintenance Agreement
An operation and maintenance agreement is required. The operation and maintenance agreement must also be
signed by the responsible party and notarized. An example agreement for an extended detention wet pond is
available on line at http://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/ncwetlands/oandm.doc.
Division wetlands unit staff will strive to complete a final. technical review within 10 working days of. receipt of the
requested information. Completing the enclosed worksheet (also available on line at the address below) will greatly
decrease the staff review time. If you have anyquestions or would like to discuss this project, please contact me at (919)
733-9584. Also, please note that the NCDENR StOrmlNater Best Management Practices Manual, April 1999, and other
- d from the Wetlands Unit web-site of
documents and information can be down loade??
