Notes and Sketches, etc
Started east end wetland - Reflect ditches question vs natural braiding &
drainage ways; floodway filling impact; enhancement area dominated by
lizard tail, has other native herb and stiltgrass; question functional uplift in
changing emergent to wooded; helpful to get JD & stream call from
property owner; relect beaver activity - question any management;
multiflora & privet throughout; lJT4A restoration south of cattle would be
relocated west within wetland (impact), ebsting channel is functional
(bedform good, stable, floodplain connected, no buffer); design based on
future house development build out condition; lJT5 potential flow issue but
good BMP spot; lJT3A either wetland or channel but flow concern so need
to work with development; lJT3C upper section- flat, flow concern discuss
adaptive management to wetland; lJT2 very incised, invasives dominated,
steep side slopes; lJT1 good substrate, very incised, few large trees;
connects to major trib offsite; asked to see about including as preservation
even without buffer width due to road & sewer; west wetland enhancement
is emergent transitioning to sweet gum & alder;
Overall good site, concerns about flow on all tribs, more info needed on
wetland enhancement areas (soil, veg inventory, ditches), would be great
to get wider buffers; also possible fencing to keep people out;
