Waste is to be pumped and hauled to off site locations. Volume and PAN content of waste

of the proposed sites with related facility numbers, number of acres and receiving crop
information. Contact and secure approval from the DWQ prior to transfer of waste to a site
not covered in the facility's CAWMP.
Operation will be partially or fully depopulated.

Line y must show as a deficit. If line y does not show as a deficit, list course of action here including pump and
haul, depopulation, herd reduction, etc. For pump & haul and herd reduction options, recalculate new PAN
based on new information. If new fields are to be included as an option for lowering lagoon level, add these
fields to the PAN balance table and recalculate the overall PAN balance. If animal waste is to be hauled to
another permitted facility, provide information regarding the herd population and lagoon, freeboard levels at the
receiving facility.
Lagoon was inundated by storm/flood waters due to Hurricane Florence. Hurricane Florence dropped approx
19" - 21" or rainfall on this farm, and forced flood waters from the NE Cape Fear River to inundate the lagoon.
Smithfield Food representatives visited this site on 9/24, to re -shoot lagoon dike and set a new marker. Once
new marker was set on 9/24/18, the lagoon level was at 14". Hog houses were not flooded, also please note the
flush tanks were shut off a day prior to storm and throughout the storm period. A "press release" will be issued
due to lagoon being inundated by flood waters. DWR-WiRO was notified on 9/16 of the lagoon inundation by
flood waters; owner/farm manager could only access the farm by boat due to flood waters.
