EAsting land use is a 20' W x 20' 6" L timber floor on steel I-beam structure on an existing paved secondary road. Project site is located in a rural residential area with residential yards
and small agriculture fields adjacent to project area.

Project purpose is to replace an obsolete and deteriorating wood floor on steel I-beam structure with a cored slab bridge.
41. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used:*
NCDOT contractor will install erosion and sediment control measures. NCDOT contractor will install diversion/dewatering structure in South Fork Skeenah Creek and UT to South Fork
Skeenah Creek. Traffic will be detoured off -site, road will be closed. The UT will be relocated, rock cross vanes installed, coir matting installed and live stakes placed. Ebsting bridge will
be demolished and new cored slab structure will be installed. Bank stabilization materials (rip -rap) will be installed as soon as final grading allows. The diversion/dewatering structures
will be removed and temporary impacts restored. The bridge project will be constructed utilizing the following equipment: crane, dump trucks, excavator, paving equipment, pumps and
hand tools.

The wasting bridge is being replaced with a structure that is adequate for traffic needs in the same disturbed location. The structure was designed for
the minimum size criteria to ensure safe conveyance of traffic on the secondary road.

The on -site stream (South Fork Skeenah Creek) and UT to South Fork Skeenah Creek will be diverted/dewatered while the new bridge structure is
constructed and the new channel is constructed. The new channel relocation will have a riparian community reestablished that will have more diversity
that current eAsting conditions (roadside ditch). Erosion and sedimentation control measures will be installed prior to ground disturbance. All of these
measures will aid in the prevention of sediment into downstream habitats and the reestablishment of a riparian community to relocated Uf.
