Farm has been hauling all week while also still cutting corn silage prior to storm coming. Application of waste is going onto small grain silage. Observed spreader trucks and fields during application - no evidence of overapplication or runoff. Waste was uniformly applied while adhereing to buffers. 75 loads @ 6500 gal/load has been hauled so far this week. Farm was pumping from the #2 and #4 to the #3 WSP to then load trucks from and spread. 6" of sand is presently in the spillway from chronic rain event to prevent runoff, discussed removing about 3" of sand as a low spot exists in embankment further from spillway. Farm to remove sand to prevent overtopping at low spot and direct it to spillway where a catchbasin exists at the bottom. No large trees or vegetation on embankments, no slumping or erosion concerns ahead of storm. Facility is ensuring bedding and other solids are kept seperate from WSPs to prevent adding volume. page: 1 Permit: AWC990012 Owner - Facility: Tim A Smitherman Facility Number: 990012 Inspection Date: 09/12/18 Inpsection Type: Structure Evaluation Reason for Visit: Emergency Waste Structures Disignated Observed Type Identifier Closed Date Start Date Freeboard Freeboard Waste Pit OLD ROOFED PIT 12/31/03 9.60 Waste Pond MATERNITY WSP 18.00 3.00 Waste Pond NEW LOWER #4 27.60 4.00 Waste Pond NEW UPPER #3 27.60 27.60 Waste Pond OLD #1 27.60 30.00 Waste Pond OLD #2 24.00 20.00 page: 2 Armit: AWC990012 Owner - Facility : Tim A Smitherman Facility Number: 990012 Inspection Date: 09/12/18 Inpsection Type: Structure Evaluation Reason for Visit: Emergency Discharges & Stream Impacts Yes No No No 1.
