Discussed the required elements for the stormwater pollution prevention plan. Discussed importance of BMPs, secondary containment, spill prevention, and documentation. The sampling point was identified as the inlet at the boat lift pad. There are other discharge points, but actions should be taken to eliminate and direct stormwater to the inlet. The facility needs to employ best management practices for all the boats being worked on. Containment of bottom paint debris is imperative. The facility is a self help boatyard. Recommend setting up yard rules and consequences. All liquid products should be stored indoors or under cover. There is a used oil tank at the back of the building that is not used. Tank is rusted and unmaintained. Suggest removal but used oil handling should be addressed. Label all 55 gallon drums and do not allow for stormwater to collect in them. Efforts should be taken to reduce discharge from the various points, directing water to a consolodated discharge point, assumable at the travel lift inlet. Consolodation of the discharge allows for treatment, if necessary, at one point, reducing costs. Page 3 of 3
