The culvert configuration was designed to better transport sediment than the existing. The extra hydraulic capacity of the culverts should reduce velocities and the single base culvert, versus two carrying flow now, should improve aquatic organism passage. 1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques: The work area will be dewatered to ensure excavation is avoided in flowing water. 2.
