Inspection Summary:
Inspector Mikal Willmer, with the Asheville Regional Office conducted a review of the City of Marion's 2018 Annual Report for
the post-closure surface disposal Permit WQ0003698.
This site has been inactive since 2001 and closed since 2002 (no longer permitted to receive residuals). No residuals were
disposed of in this landfill in 2018.
The Annual Report appears to be in compliance. Please note the ACF form does not need to be submitted for this permit,
only the DMSDF form.
Groundwater monitoring is required by permit. The ARO's Hydrogeologist, Brett Laverty, is working with the City to ensure
the correct sampling methodology is being conducted to avoid matrix interferences.
