As -Built discussion- did not pick up E2 or wetland area; Mac wants profile
of all credit areas R, E1, E2 & design vs built thalweg; include plug areas in
As -Built; outlet stabilization question;
Site construction based on GPS equipment (not conventional stakeout), 3D
model based on total station survey (not LiDAR);
Toe logs with footers throughout upper restoration reach - ok since low
velocity system; 2 turtles observed; some nice leafed -out stems, others
dead, live stakes not leafed -out; S6 - veg in channel (ludwigia); bare
floodplain areas; watch for encroachment around utility ROW - signs
partially obscured by veg; significant sediment deposition in E reach - 2'+,
source?; privet & multiflora present in E & P areas; wetland restoration
concerns - ditch plugs too small )particularly at end at filled culvert; check
100' floodway filling allowance; wetland wet - good herb cover, species
diversity, low tree count;
Wrap-up - Todd checking with other USACE on min. plug length, may
require RES to extend at least end plug area
