STORMWATER MANAGEMENT CONSTRUCTION
CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE
1. CONVERSION OF THE SKIMMER BASIN TO THE WET POND SHOULD ONLY OCCUR DURING A PERIOD OF EXTEND DRY WEATHER WHEN THERE IS NO STANDING WATER IN THE SKIMMER BASIN.
2. STABILIZE ALL DISTURBED AREAS UPSTREAM OF THE WET POND. *WET POND SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUCTED UNTIL FINAL PAVING AND LANDSCAPING IS COMPLETE. GENERALLY, IT SHOULD
BE THE FINAL SITE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY THAT TAKES PLACE. ALL CONTRIBUTING AREAS WITHIN THE WATERSHED SHOULD BE STABLE AND APPROVED BY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT.*
3. DIVERT PIPE AND CHANNEL RUNOFF FROM BASIN WORK AREA USING TEMPORARY PIPES AND DIVERSIONS, AS NECESSARY
4. THE WET POND IS A CONVERTED SEDIMENT BASIN. ALL OUTLET STRUCTURES AND PIPES SHOULD ALREADY BE IN -PLACE.
5. PROTECT BASIN SLOPES, EXCEPT AT SINGLE ACCESS POINT FOR EQUIPMENT.
6. PROTECT ACCESS ROUTE INTO BASIN WITH HEAVY-DUTY GEO-TECHNICAL FABRIC AND PLANKS IF NECESSARY.
7. INSTALL VEGETATION ON VEGETATIVE SHELF.
8. COMPLETE SLOPE STABILIZATION AND REPAIRS.
9. INSPECT BASIN AFTER SEVERAL RAIN EVENTS TO VERIFY IF IT IS FUNCTIONING EFFECTIVELY; IF IT IS NOT, MAKE REPAIRS. CRITERIA THAT THE BASIN IS WORKING PROPERLY SHALL INCLUDE
BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO, NO WEEPING FROM EARTHEN DIKES, PROPER DEWATERING TIME AS PRESCRIBED BY DEQ ON THIS SHEET, AND NO EXCESSIVE SEDIMENTATION DEPOSITION.
DRAINAGE / ACCESS / INSPECTION EASEMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL STORMWATER MANAGEMENT FACILITIES. IN ADDITION TO AS -BUILT SURVEYS. EASEMENTS CONNECTING TO PUBLIC RIGHTS
OF WAY SHALL BE SHOWN FOR THE WET POND.
AS -BUILT SURVEYS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT AT CLOSE-OUT FOR REVIEW AND CERTIFICATION.
