The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive the additional information requested below, we will have to move toward denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506 and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project. Additional Information Requested: 1. Flushing Model It is indicated that an Oxygen and Flushing Model study was formulated for the new configuration of the marina basin. Please provide the oxygen/flushing model that was described in Number 6.0 of the Project Summary of the CAMA Major Application. 2. Impacts to the Neuse River Riparian Buffer There is a six (6) foot wide walkway landward of the bulkhead proposed for the new basin. Under 15A NCAC 2B .0233 Neuse River Riparian Buffer Rules this structure is considered as impervious surface within Zone 1 of the riparian buffer. This use is not listed in the Table of Uses under 15A NCAC 2b .0233 (6) thus requiring a Major Variance to the rule. Please provide information that a Major Variance has been obtained from the DWQ for this impact 3. Please provide a vegetation restoration plan for the new areas of the Neuse River Riparian Buffer around the reconfiettred marina basin. Please indicate the diffuse flow provision measures on the site plan. Please respond in writing within three weeks of the date of this letter by sending this information to Mr. Kyle Barnes of the DWQ Washington Regional Office and Ian McMillan of the 401 OversightlExpress Unit in the Raleigh Central Office. If we do not heaz from you within three weeks, we will assume that you no longer want to pursue this project and we will consider the project as withdrawn. This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application are not authorized (at this time) by the DWQ.
