Notes and Sketches, etc
Completed in May - planted in phases
As -built redline done, copy to be resubmitted/uploaded
Since planting past March will be more scrutinized in MY 1-3
Terraces within easement removed, outside remain
Landowner tracks outside (appear as erosion)
Road and woods are signed - to be painted yellow
GWG installed with bentonite seal - target 12%
2 bankfull events already
1 rain gauge onsite
Prescribed burn & spray treatment of fescue
Lower valley very wet wetland (saturated & inundated areas); seeps present
Tera cell at project boundary- protection for headcuts into project; Mac - not needed given slope and bedform
Live stakes look good
UT 4 - significant rock not much gravel (onsite mined); likely fill in a bit with fines & leaf litter; question if aquatic
passage with standard yr flow (been wet yr); flow variability may rot log vanes; hobo flow gauge in pool but camera will
tell when flow over riffle stops to calibrate flow elevation; change wth E1 to keep cluster of trees (6)
No cattle - landowner leasing for hay; posts installed as visual and can be used to fence if livestock lease change
UT 3 - Spring located in preservation reach then turns ephemeral fairer
UT 3 - banks low vigor/ cover; Reseed and then lime treatment if still low cover establishment
Field full of lespedeza; tree of heaven border
Trib at road/easement border (leading to wetland area) determined not jurisdictional but strong flow present, RS lined
with rock and wattles, no credit being requested;
UT 1 A & B - treat privet and TOH; live stake banks in fall;
UT 1 - lots of stone; adjacent wetland super wet pockets (drainage tiles removed across site)
Wrap-up - heavy use of rock not matching design plan; dress bank where cut - sparse veg cover; invasives treatment
good - keep it up; add more live stakes 1 A & 1 B; as -built report figure 2 - label E & R; discussion on adding
preservation reaches upstream
