If stock is not available for another FACW species we would be fine with the proposed substitution. River Birch for Green Ash is already a FACW for FACW substitution. I have already coordinated with Joanne. Matt Greene with NCDOT is coordinating the planting and indicated that the NC Forest Service is out of Green Ash and Tulip Poplar. He's planning on substituting River Birch and Water Oak in place of the missing species. Could you let me know if this change in species is acceptable or if you have any concerns?
