The project is located off Tar Landing Road near Holly Ridge, Onslow County. The property is approximately 11 acres. In order to construct a home, fill material will be needed in a small portion of the noted wetlands to install a driveway; therefore a Nationwide Permit 14 is being sought. The proposed project consists of construction of a driveway to access uplands in order to build a home. The review area has a small area of wetlands that extend the property which requires this minimal crossing impact The impact is expected to be approximately 0.05 acres. This wetland impact has been minimized by impacting only what is necessary for construction of the driveway. Furthermore, the proposed crossing is to be built at the smallest crossing point of the wetlands and culverts are proposed to allow for proper flow of water through the crossing. If you have any questions or require any additional information, please feel free to contact me at (910) 270-2919.
