Per previous communication it has been determined that the requested information has already been made available but in a non standard format. Thank you for accepting the alternate format after a second look. 2. A type 2 turbidity barrier will be use with a moderate wind rating and compatibility with up to a 5mph current. 3. The The project information form and a narrative discussing compliance with buffer rules has been mailed on 6/15/19 to Mr. Aiken. On this note I met with the client on site yesterday. We discussed the shore line buffer and from an environmental importance perspective and from a regulatory perspective. They have decided that they will add Wisteria control to the duties of their landscape management company for the long run. I continue to be amazed by the health and vigor of this infestation. The property involved is an un buildable lot that isn't used for anything. The owners just don't want to loose ground and have the property be an eye sore from the lake. The total width of work should be 5' at he widest ad less in other areas. If we say a 4' average x 247 linear ft = 988sgft max. You gave me the square footage and the lengths; however, I would like to know what the footprint of the impact area is. The dimensions I am looking for are length in feet x width in feet. The main reason that I ask for this is in the past we have had landowners build out into the lake to extend their property. I would want to make sure that I am not approving that practice. If I have the dimensions I can do a more accurate inspection. Please feel free to call if you need more clarification or if I missed this in the application. Thanks. Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to Hello Mr Mitchel. I tried to call you at your office this morning to discuss item #1. 1 was under the impression that the information requested has been provided. Admittedly I formatted the presentation differently than is shown in your example. My problem is that their are 6 distinct sections along the 247' shore line in question. To use your example format I would need to produce 6 drawings one for each section. I had hoped to avoid that extra work by altering the format of how the information is presented. If I must I will produce the 6 separate drawings for each section but I do hope that effort can be avoided. Could you please look at the information I presented again and see if it does in fact provide the needed information despite the change in format. I would really appreciate it. Thank you Scott Hatch. The Division has determined that your application is incomplete and cannot be processed. The application is on -hold until the following information is received: 1. Please submit page 3 of the application illustrating the dimensions of disturbance. I have attached a Shoreline Stabilization example. Make sure to include the dimension of the rock wall and rip -rap. [15A NCAC 02H .0502(c)] 2. Will the work be constructed "in the dry" while the lake is down? If not, please provide a plan of how the proposed activity will not exceed the turbidity standard for trout waters (10 NTUs). Similar seawall projects have used coffer dams and/or turbidity curtains to isolate the work area and meet the standard. Please provide additional best management practices to ensure that the turbidity standard for trout waters is not exceeded. Also, include measures to minimize sedimentation from the access road. [15A NCAC 02B.0211(21)] 3. The project indicates that 19 trees will be removed and an access road will be required in the trout buffer. Please contact Stan Aiken with the Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources to determine if a trout buffer variance is required. I have copied him on this email.
