the needed maintenance to the ocean outfalls located at:

• Baum Street —NCDOT Outfall #8 located at NC 12 milepost 8.5

• Martin/Atlantic Street —NCDOT Outfall 45 located at NC 12 milepost
9.1 needing restoration to the pipe support system (saddles).
Recommend access from Atlantic Street Beach Access.
We appreciate NCDOT's efforts to make these routine repairs caused by
corrosion of the steel parts. The Town is willing to assist in providing:
1. Necessary staging areas at town owned property or accesses
2. Assist with public service announcements alerting visitors of work
3. Coordination with our Ocean Rescue Division to assist in educating
visitors on closed areas needed for the work zones
Please advise us when you have confirmed the starting date and times and we
can start to broadcast the details and impacts to the visitors. Please let me
know if you have questions.
