Roxboro Steam Plant in Person County was issued NPDES permit NCS000581 with an effective date of
January 27, 2017. This permit consists of two Stormwater outfalls, SW-3 and SW -A.
The station will be undertaking process improvement work in the vicinity of Stormwater outfall SW-3
and hereby requests to modify the NPDES Stormwater permit to eliminate this outfall.
The removal will consist of plugging the existing concrete conveyance pipe with a plug then adding grout
to fully eliminate any discrete discharge. The grading in this area will result in only sheet flow in the
future.
