NOI Inspection
Shane,
I visited the McDowell County Millworks facility on June 21, 2019. 1 met with Jamie Schill on site. During the visit, the
following items were noted concerning the NOI.
1) While there was no outfall listed on the NOI, Jamie and myself went to and discussed the outfall location. There
could potentially be more outfalls after the site plan is developed.
2) While "No" was checked for question 15, the facility does in fact have exposed accumulations of saw dust. I
discussed with Jamie that they would either need to remove those accumulations, or conduct analytical
monitoring. He was unsure which route they would go at the facility.
3) While "No" was checked for question 16, the facility does in fact conduct minor vehicle maintenance at the
facility. Mr Schill did say however that the majority of the vehicle maintenance needed for facility equipment is
conducted off site.

This is one of the facilities I had issued an NOV to for operating without a permit.
