Although an aerial image could not be found to ascertain when the work was completed, photographs used for the sale of this property from Zillow and the realtor (Marc I, Denver, NC) show that the work was completed prior to my purchase. The prolonged full pond conditions experienced recently on Lake Norman has caused the bank to undermine and erode, creating an unstable condition. It was not until contact was made with a contractor to rebuild/restore the shoreline and the application for the required permit(s) was I aware that the paver/patio area was considered non-conforming. With drier weather conditions and the lake level now lower, permission to remedy the present shoreline condition before high water conditions return becomes, in a word, critical.
