Date: June 5, 2019 Project Name: Junes Branch
Notes, Sketch, Action Items, etc.:
Higdon Branch - treated cattail and juncus in spring 2019; container plantings also installed; strong flow observed; defined banks;
in -stream structures visible
Doris Branch - treated cattail and juncus; area weed-wacked; iron bacteria present; flow observed; top of branch appears to be
wetland until willow line (flagged); more channelized at XS 14; below XS 13 slope increases; 1 structure visible near confluence; in
general lacks bedform; 2018 site visit comments - trending wetland, no channel manipulation, possibly ratio change to 2:1
Junes Branch & Bumgarner - good flow; channel shaded; successful in -stream structures; surrounded by wetlands (extending
outside easement
Site wrap-up discussion - reducing credit for Doris Branch: considering either 2:1 entire branch or no credit for —100' wetland and
1.5:1 remaining branch segment
IRT discussion - general monitoring concern of small tribs. (with small drainage area & low slope); possibly request more cross
sections and pebble counts for future sites
