In order for us to assure that disease spread is minimized by vehicles entering
our high health farms, we have implemented the following procedures for cleaning:
MBWR Biosecurity Procedures 2-8 Visitors
(Service Truck Cleaning)
1. All Multiplication Service vehicles will be washed and have the inside cleaned out:
- Prior to going to a Daughter Nucleus Farm
- Immediately upon leaving a PRRS positive site
- After pig contact outside of Multiplication System
- At a minimum the vehicle will be cleaned at the beginning of each week
2. All Commercial Service vehicles will be washed and have the inside cleaned out
- Prior to returning to the office or warehouse after leaving a PRRS/STAND site
- After leaving a HRHL (TGE/DYS) site
- When moving up in health status
- After pig contact outside of MBWR System
- At a minimum the vehicle will be cleaned at the end of each week
Inside and outside of vehicles, including the tool box, truck bed and floor boards should be
clean and free of debris and excessive dirt.
3. It is the expectation that every truck have a set of rubber floor mats inside their vehicles
at all times.
We hope that this procedure will assist you in establishing your cleanliness standards
for vehicles visiting our fams.
With regards,
Mur by Brown West Region
