Box 1000 Washington, North Carolina 27789-1000 Dear Mr. Biddlecome: Subject: EEP Mitigation Acceptance Letter: a SR 1336 (Harvey Point Road), Construction of a Roundabout, Perquimans County; Pasquotank River Basin (Cataloging Unit 03010205); Northern Outer Coastal Plain (NOCP) Eco-Region The purpose of this letter is to notify you that the Ecosystem Enhancement Program (EEP) will provide the compensatory riparian wetland mitigation for the unavoidable impact associated with the above referenced project. Based on the information received from the NCDOT on August 17, 2009, the impacts are located in CU 03010205 of the Pasquotank River Basin in the Northern Outer Coastal Plain (NOCP) Eco-Region, and the anticipated mitigation credits needed to offset the impacts are as follows: Buffer (Sq. Stream Wetlands F Pasquotank t. 03010205 Non- Coastal Zone Zone Cold Cool Warm Ri avian P Ri arian Marsh 1 2 Impacts (feet/acres) 0 0 0 0.2555 0 0 0 0 Mitigation Units 0 0 0 0.511 0 0 0 0 (Credits-up to 2:1) Mitigation associated with this project will be provided in accordance with Section X of Amendment No. 2 to the Memorandum of Agreement between the N. C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the N. C. Department of Transportation, and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers fully executed on March 8, 2007 (Tri-Parry MOA). EEP commits to implement sufficient compensatory riparian wetland mitigation in the appropriate cataloging unit to offset the impacts associated with this project by the end of the MOA year in which this project is permitted. If the above referenced impact amounts are revised, then this mitigation acceptance letter will no longer be valid and a new mitigation acceptance letter will be required from EEP.
