Scour and erosion along these reaches as well. -Aggradation on Hogan Creek Reach 1 -Scour behind rootwad structure in bank on Hogan Creek Reach 2 -Trees in channel on UT2 -Riffles not maintaining coarser substrate on 4 cross sections. -XS-4 pool aggradation -XS-5 riffle downcutting Encroachment: Mowing in easement on UT2, and road construction on left buffer —50 LF Invasives: Two treatments in 2018 (honeysuckle, privet, MF Rose, kudzu) 5.1% of easement Veg: All plots meet but some low vigor due to invasive vines. My field notes from May 2018 Site Visit: Office Notes: Invasives treatment Spring 2018. XS -5 increase cross sectional area and right bank erosion. 9 areas of erosion on R1 and 3. Repairs scheduled for Nov. 2018. R1 and R2 repaired last year. Credits held until site review.5 year project, 900 LF repair planned for this year. Kudzu is an issue. Field Notes: repair area 1 at top of project is in two sharp meanders. Lots of bank erosion. EI area. Lots of kudzu in buffer. Veg is thin on right side near last section of repair before bridge. Several mid channel bars. About 30% needs repair of EI and R. Some encroachment mowing and moving CE signs. Veg below the bridge is much smaller.P area looks good. Some kudzu there. I recommend 3 more years monitoring after repairs for veg. Kudzu control. HOLD Credit this year. 10 June, 2019 Field Notes: Repair areas look very good. The project has already had multiple over bank events since the repair was completed. Only two locations were concerning, both near the very upper end of the project where there are two tight bends in the repair area that have flow directed on repaired banks. We asked for photo points on these locations. The site also needs an invasive treatment soon, with the main concern being kudzu, especially on the lower portion of the project. We agreed to catch up on credit releases (currently year 4), but will hold back the entire last release until Closeout. The project will have monitoring extended by one year for the stream only, and possibly a second year if there are any concerns regarding stability of the repaired areas.
