The State of North Carolina does have jurisdiction over this wetland and any activities in this wetland are subiect to the State's regulations. Basis For Determination: The identified wetland pocket is determined to be an isolated wetland, and therefore non- jurisdictional. This wetland pocket is a small depressional feature in the middle of area mapped as a Foreston loamy fine sand soil type. The nearest jurisdictional Water, an UNT to the Northeast Cape Fear River, is approximately 800 feet north of the site location. This determination is based on information provided by Norton Webster of Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. and a field visit by Lillette Granade on July 7, 2004.
