Environmental Manager Director Project Development and Environmental Analysis Branch NC Department of Transportation 1598 Mail Service Center Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-1598 Dear Dr. Thorpe: P ea; IS Project -' :j Environmen zl =iY4 a D1et Reference the Department of the Army permit issued to you on July 21, 2008, for the U.S. Highway 70 Goldsboro Bypass project (R-2554), from Aulander Road (SR 1381) west of Goldsboro, in Wayne County and ending east of Promise Land Road (SR 1323) southwest of LaGrange, in Lenoir County and your written request of May 12, 2009, for permit modification to impact an additional 140 linear feet of stream at Site 11 and to construct 273 linear feet of stream at Site 10. The permit is hereby modified to include the work as shown on the submitted plans.
