Dean, Please find attached a fast track application package for the modification of WQ0038968 (lensens Coastal Plantation). This modification is to clarify the size and lengths of the force main. The original application was for 1630 linear feet of 4" C900. During construction the applicant chose to install 675 linear feet of 6" C900 in anticipation of future connections from the adjacent commercial center. The correct force main lengths are as.follows. " C900 955 linear feet 6" C900 675 linear feet When the issue of the 6" line was raised I suggested that Randy Hoffer perform a dra rdown test with both pumps running. He performed that test and notified you of the results, which were a pumping rate of 180 gpm with both pumps running. This pumping rate yields a velocity exceeding the required 2 ft/s for scouring required by the MDC. In addition this pump station has connections for a portable by-pass pump. The operator can run both pumps on a routine basis or hook up a by-pass pump to scour the line periodically. If you have any Questions ,.
