Matt Bramwell of LandDesign, Inc., coordinated directly with Joseph to avoid misunderstandings regarding technical information requested. ard S. Rindner, PWS nvironmental Planning Consultant Professional Wetland Scientist Project Name: Oakmont - Charlotte Pipe and Foundary Company DWQ Project #: 09-0859 City: Oakboro County: Stanly Date Received: 8/7/09 Comments Sent: 8/14/09 Stormwater Review Comments: For the conceptual stormwater wet ponds and BMP Supplements received on August 7, 2009, please provide the following: 1. Entire site grading plan with topographic contours (on full size plan sheets); Created full size sheet (BMP-1.0) with topographic contours and grading plan. 2. Delineated drainage areas on the site; Drainage areas going to each BMP shown and labeled. 3. An estimation ofthe percent imperviousness associated with each drainage area Estimation of the percent impervious for each BMP's drainage area is shown on sheet with pond labels. 4. Proposed grading plan of the BMPs on the site plan; Proposed grading within BMP's shown along with forebay locations. 5. Location of outlet structures in the BMPs and associated discharge pipes; and Outlet structure locations are shown along with discharge pipe and riprap aprons. 6. Proposed vegetated filter strips and flow spreading devices (level spreaders preferred), unless wet ponds are redesigned for 90% TSS removal. Please include preliminary sizing ofthe level spreaders for the expected drawdown from the proposed wet detention ponds. Filter strips and level spreaders shown. Level spreaders designed to control draw down discharge which is less than 1 cfs for both ponds. Each level spreader is the minimum length of 13 If. 90% TSS removal could not be achieved due to site constraints. Each vegetated filter strip is 30 If at a maximum slope of 8%. I spoke with Joseph to discuss a few things, mainly the level spreader and vegetative filter. I believe that we are both on the same page and we are showing him what he wants to see. Let me know if you see anything else that sticks out at you or you have any other questions.
