Todd, Mac, and Erin:
Thank you for all your time out at our sites this week. After the visit, we took a point at the flag you hung in the field
which resulted in a reduction of 102 linear feet of channel on Doris Branch. Ryan can provide shapefile and figure
outlining this change. I've attached a spreadsheet outlining the scenarios that we discussed for the site close-out at
June's Branch yesterday.
Scenario 1
- Bring the origin of Doris Branch down to Todd's flag (a reduction of 102 linear feet) and change the treatment on
remaining stream length to Enhancement I at a ratio of 1.5:1.
Scenario 2 (less preferred, but something Mac had mentioned last year)
- Keep existing origin on Doris Branch, but reduce ratio to 2:1.
I would like to suggest that we go with Scenario 1 as you proposed, with the caveat that we use approved as -built
stream lengths and close the site out for full credit of 3,000 SMUs. As a reminder, the mit plan total was 3,093 and as -
built was 3,162. Based on the overall success of the site, in conjunction with the uncredited wetland restoration
acreage, I think this is a reasonable compromise for closeout. I would be glad to discuss in more detail at your
