RE: Accpetance letter for the Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Station
No variance is needed. It was issued last week under a CAMA Mj, They moved some of the contours out toward the
sound which caused the CAMA marsh line to move and that kept impervious surface out of the buffer.

Kyle,
Whats the status of 09,0585 (NCCAT Shoreline Protection & Marsh Creation) project? Does this still need a Major
Variance?
Thanks.

Just wanted to send this out because it is the first I have seen with possibility of three HUC to obtain mitigation credits
from, We got the go,ahead from Coleen to process the GMV for the Ocracoke Fire Dept. The impacts have not been
approved but as they stand there are 8000+ sf of credits needed at 1:1 within that HUe. No one that I know of gave
approval to go outside the HUC which would require a min of 1.5:1 ratio, Looking a the HUC map the closest EEP bank is
in Edgecombe Co" keep in mind the impacts are on Ocracoke, EEP is processing this one at a 3:1 ratio so I need to
contact them and get things straight. I need some guidance to proceed.
