"'"I.I,) AHO STORAttvATEft 8RAHcH Reference: Sunnybrook Road Widening - City of Raleigh Permit # 20050636 Modifications for Driveway Pipe Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina Dear Ms. Chapman, The City of Raleigh is applying for a permit modification to the 401 Water Quality Certification as part of a Nationwide 14 for the proposed widening of Sunnybrook Road. (Permit # 20050636) The project plans to widen Sunnybrook Road from Poole Road to Falstaff Road from a predominantly two-lane road to a four-lane road. Current and future traffic volumes require that the road be widened, The project is located adjacent to two unnamed tributaries to Crabtree Creek. Impacts for this modification are strictly buffer impacts with the installation of a 32' driveway culvert, The driveway culvert is being installed underneath an existing driveway to convey water from the north side of the driveway to the south side, There was a preexisting driveway culvert prior to the start of this project that was removed to accommodate the road widening, Neuse River buffers will be impacted in two separate zones. A total of 24 square feet of zone 1 and 40 square feet of zone 2 buffers are proposed for impact These impacts to buffers are allowable without mitigation. Should you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at 919-996- 4059. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
