A few weeks ago, DRBA switched from our regular email client with Go Daddy to Outlook with Go Daddy. It didn't work with some of our old computers, and we had a gap of time when emails were simply lost. I've looked through my sent files and cannot find the response to your email Sue. It makes me wonder what else has been lost! I asked the trail builder, Tony McGee, about the apparent trail within the 30 ft zone, and he assured us that is simply a fluctuation of the GPS. He says we are not within the 30 ft zone there. Is there anything else you are waiting on from us? And thank you, again, so very much for all your help here! I took a minute to look at the map that Donna sent, it helps but it also creates some follow up questions. Please know that I understand that the impact to the buffer will be minimal from these trails, but the rules require me to treat all impacts equally and I need to go through the same steps before I can approve buffer impacts for any projects. The biggest of these steps is documenting that there are "no practical alternatives". In some cases, where there are property lines, or very steep topography that can be obvious to me, but in other cases it's not. I need to review this as if someone from the public was opening my file for the first time, didn't do this every day, and was reviewing it. So what may seem clear to you because you've worked on this project may not be clear to someone looking at my file for the first time. So, in this snippet of map below, it is not clear why the trail can't be moved to outside the 50 foot buffer rather than right along the 30 foot buffer line (or in some cases, inside of Zone 1). This is just a snippet, but I'd need an explanation for basically all parts of the trail that are within the 50' buffer and the justification should be stronger if the trail is within Zone 2. Jenny, please also see my original email (attached) that requested a "typical" drawing/plan of the trail that is proposed. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to am nc. ov Hi Sue I have updated the proposed trails map to a scale of 1" to 200' for the 2.25 mile natural trail at Lake Reidsville. Paper size is 11 X 17. 1 hope this is better. Along with the property around the lake edge and properties in light grey are City owned. Let me know if this is sufficient. Best Regards, Donna Donna H.
